COVID-19 NEW GUIDELINES

We are following all Covid-19 Health and Safety regulations and guidelines from CDC and OHSA, Michigan State Board, and Local Health Department.

To fully ensure that the salon is up to the Covid-19 standards of sanitation, all our nail technicians are have a  BARBICIDE CERTIFICATIONwhich proves that salon has gone through safety testing and demonstrated a commitment to operating according to best practices set in place by infectious control specialists.

We are taking the following steps to make sure that when we do reopen, we're operating in a safe manner.


Here's what we plan to do:

1. We are strictly following the new disinfecting guidelines, which include cleaning and sanitizing before the start, in between every single client, and at closing of each day using only hospital grade disinfectants through the salon. We will increased sanitation measures, surfaces like tools, products, chairs, tables, counter, etc.

2. We have hand sanitizing stations, large sneeze-guard partitions acrylic in front of all the receptionists as well as the nail table and pedicure chair will physically block any droplets from passing between nail technician and clients.

3. In addition to masks, we will be wearing disposable gloves and face shields while inside the salon and serving clients, as well as washing our hands before and after each service.

4. Everyone will have their temperatures checked before entering the salon with our non-contact digital forehead thermometers.

5. Follow social distance guidelines, the waiting area is closed at this time. There is no need to check in at the front desk or to sit in reception area. Please note that we are not allow to have any clients waiting in the salon, so please understand that we cannot allow anyone to dry their hands/toes after service. After your service, clients are to check out and leave immediately.

6. Services will be by appointment only- at this time we are not accepting walk-in appointments.

7. We will no longer offering magazines, beverage services and other amenities for clients and discard any non-essential items. This will help reduce touch points at this time due to contamination concerns.

8. Please note our front entry door will be locked to limit access of people entering the salon at one time and have social distancing cues throughout for you to reference and moving in one direction.

9. We love hugs and handshakes; however, we'll be a no-contact zone for the time being.


Here's what we're going to need your help to minimize the transmission of Covid-19 and safety place for all of us :

1. We strongly advise  immunocompromised, at risk and vulnerable humans include pregnant and nursing mothers to really consider your risks before scheduling your appointment and highly suggest you do not schedule a non-essential personal service to reduce your exposure to Covid-19 and any other major health related illnesses and injuries during this crucial time.

2. If you have a fever, chills, cough, muscle pains, headache, loss of taste or smell, or otherwise thing you may have been exposed to COVID-19, please stay home and reschedule your appointment when ensure you are symptom free (at least 14 days). Please contact us 24 hours notice.

3. If you are sick stay home. If you have a temperature stay home. If some one in your house is sick, stay home. If you have allergies and can't control sneezing, stay home. Reschedule your appointment to a late date. So we can ensure the safety of all our clients and the nail technician.

4. Clients may be asked to wait in the car, we will let you know it is safe to do so (by text or phone call) so that as few people are inside the salon as possible.

5. Upon arrival all clients must be hand sanitizer before entering the salon to minimize continued exposure to high touch areas and once entering clients must properly wash hands for 20 seconds before the start of their service.

6. As a client, you'll be best advised not to touch anything, if you can help it.Wash your hand before and after the service. Clients are welcome to bring in their own nail kits to mitigate the risk of cross contamination.

7. All clients will have mandatory symptom screenings and a touch-less temperature check at the door before entering the salon as an additional health and safety precaution. Clients with temperature above 100 degrees will be asked to cancel their appointment, and return a later date. We will not store any client temperature data. Clients please arrive 10 minutes prior to your appointment.

8. It is mandatory for all clients to wear face mask inside at all times. Mask will be available for purchase. If you can't wear a mask for longer than 15 minutes due to any health related reasons we urge you to not schedule an appointment at this time.

9. Follow social distance guidelines, only the person with the appointment is allow in the salon, no kiddos, babies, friends, pets or extra people are allow in at this time.

10. Please leave ALL personal items in your car other than keys, cell phone, any emergency items, inhalers or epi-pens. We will not allow anyone to place your personal belongings on any surface within the salon to minimize spread of contamination.

11. In an effort to make sure our nail tech receives a full day's wage, we have a 12 hour cancellation policy. No shows will occur a full charge to guarantee nail tech get paid for their time. While we are taking extra precautions to maintain a clean and safe environment, by booking an appointment you acknowledge that you have read our guidelines and are comfortable with the risks associated booking a non-essential personal service during this time of transition and you will not hold ALICE NAILS and ANY TECHNICIAN liable for any injury, illness or health conditions that arises from application of non-essential personal services.


          2. In an effort to make sure our nail tech receives a full day's wage; we have a 12-hours cancellation policy. We thank you in advance for understanding and greatly appreciate your support in advancing our mission to provide a living wage for our technicians.
